  • I offer mental health counseling services to adults, both in person and via teletherapy. My office is a safe and supportive space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences in a non-judgmental and compassionate place.

    We work collaboratively to help you navigate life’s challenges and the ways in which you may feel stuck or disconnected from yourself or others. I will help you to explore your internal experience deeply and together we will work towards discovering the root of your psychological suffering, in order to help you find more ease in your everyday life and in your relationships.

    In a non-judgmental environment, we will work together to uncover underlying emotions, unspoken needs, break negative patterns and build a stronger, more resilient bond between you and your partner.

  • I specialize in helping adults to improve their relationships to themselves and others.

    More specifically, I often work with people who are struggling with:

    low self-esteem or feelings of worthlessness, a tendency towards perfectionism, putting the needs of others first while neglecting your own, difficulties with boundary setting or maintenance, difficulties with self-advocacy, indecisiveness or “decision paralysis”, problems identifying or understanding emotions, emotional dysregulation, struggles with motivation or goal attainment, relationship struggles or problems connecting with others, working through traumatic experiences from the past, healing from and breaking harmful intergenerational patterns/cycles, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, complex trauma and other trauma disorders, and chronic pain.

  • My approach to counseling is holistic and rooted in the understanding of the connection between the mind, body and spirit, as well as our connection to others in our world.

    My counseling style is integrative, meaning that I use many different approaches to help you depending on your unique goals. However, my practice is most strongly influenced and informed by an approach called Intensive Short-term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), which is a type of experiential dynamic therapy.

    With this approach, we will focus on your full, embodied experience in the moment, with an emphasis on your emotions, in order to understand you more deeply. We will also collaboratively explore how your past (i.e., trauma or unresolved conflicts) is affecting you currently in order to get to the root of your struggles. This approach is a deep dive into your experience, meant to foster meaningful and lasting change. Therefore, it is best for people who feel they are ready to “go deep” and looking for prominent change. You can learn more about this approach here within my resources page.

    Specific modalities used in sessions include, but are not limited to: Experiential Dynamic Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Focusing & Somatic Therapy, Mindfulness-based Approaches, Cognitive-behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Restructuring, & Narrative Counseling
